We serve our parish and local community in many ways, sharing God’s love with others whenever we can.
Some ways in which we do this are:
- Holding special, reflective services and assemblies for the whole school community, especially during Advent and Holy Week.
- Class Liturgies are held every term.
- Gold Book Celebration Assemblies are held at the end of each term – all members of the school community are welcome to attend.
- Liaising with our parish priest in preparation for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Holy Communion and Confirmation
We include the weekly Sunday Gospel in our Friday newsletter which gives famillies an opportunity to read and reflect upon it. They can also find more information at http://www.wednesdayword.org/
Charities and International Links
Throughout the year we support many different charities both at home and abroad. Staff, pupils and families are always extremely generous in their support of others. Money is raised throughout the year through fundraising events, fairs and charitable donations from the whole school community. More information can be found in our Charities section.
In Lent the whole school concentrates its efforts raising a considerable amount of money for our ‘international link’ charitable projects – # Project Iringa in Tanzania and the Bauleni School in Zambia. More information can be found by clicking on the links.
Candlemas – Thank you to everyone who kindly turned up for our Candlemas (The Presentation of The Lord) liturgy. It was lovely to see so many parents, parishioners and governors together celebrating with children. I do hope you all enjoyed your prayer candle souvenir and are able to share it with each other as a family in your own homes.
