3D shapes

This week we have been shape mad! The children have completed all sorts of tasks involving 3D shapes. They have learned about the main 3D shapes and their properties, been on s shape hunt around school, played ‘guess my shape’ from a feeley bag, made 3D shape animals from nets, sorted real life objects into different categories of shapes and built 3D shape models using the giant k-nex outside. We have also celebrated World Book Day this week. The children absolutely loved dressing up as their favourite book character and showing their costumes off to their friends and parents in the hall. We completed fun reading activities in class such as designing our own front covers and book marks and creating masks for our favourite characters. We have also looked at number 20 in class as well as learning the ‘oa’ sound in phonics. Have a lovely weekend everyone 🙂
