Printing with William Morris

Recent Posts

Over the last few weeks in our creative lessons, Year 6 have been looking at the ancient civilization, the Maya. Our art focus for this half term was printing, where we took inspiration from William Morris, a famous printing textile designer from the 19th Century. In previous lessons the children have created their own Mayan codices and Mayan Gods so they had a few options of what they wanted their print to be. We had great fun making our stamps and then the messy part of painting and stamping our prints. There were some fantastic results which the children were very proud of. Great work.
