We began our RE lesson by noting the difference between apostles (those sent out) and disciples (followers).
We learnt that Paul explained to the people living in Ephesus how everyone has a special role to play, and if each one is committed to it, it will help everyone.
It was he who gave gifts to people; he appointed some to be apostles, others to be prophets, others to be evangelists, others to be pastors and teachers. He did this to prepare all God’s people for the work of Christian service, in order to build up the body of Christ. And so we shall all come together to that oneness in our faith and in our knowledge of the Son of God; we shall become mature people.
We must grow up in every way to be like Christ.
Ephesians 4: 11-13, 15
The children got into small groups and used these words of Paul to produce a guide on how to fulfill responsibilities for others to follow.
