Socks and Shakers

Recent Posts

On Friday our letters and sounds activity was ‘socks and shakers’. We filled bottles and socks with noisy materials. The children then had to guess what was inside by shaking the bottles or socks and feeling what was inside the socks. Some sounds were quiet and some were very noisy. We used rice, pebbles, pasta, shells, cornflakes and dried peas. The children called them the magic music bottle and the musical sock. The cornflakes and pebbles were loud like music, the peas were quiet like sweets, the shells sounded like pennies. Well done everyone – great listening.
