The Government has asked all Local Authorities in the UK to publish, in one place, information about the services and provision they expect to be available in their area for children and young people from 0 to 25 who have Special Educational Needs and/or a Disability (SEND). We believe that all children, including those identified as having special educational needs and disability, are entitled to a broad and balanced academic and social curriculum which is accessible to them, and to be fully included in all aspects of school life.
We are committed to maximum inclusion commensurate with meeting individual needs, the highest quality of education for all children and the efficient use of resources. The school has a stair lift, a disabled parking space, a disabled toilet, low kerbs and ramps to allow children with physical difficulties to access all areas of the school. We recognise that for some children there may be more barriers to overcome in order for them to reach their full potential.
