This morning, Year 6 read the parable “The Prodigal Son” according to Luke 15:11-32. The class then held a courtroom style trial, where we had 3 defendants and lawyers, a judge, jurors, witnesses and even reporters. After a lengthy trial and lots of debating, the jury landed on the decision that the younger son was guilty and the one in the wrong. As a class they all worked very well together and were able to recall the story with ease. The children were also able to tell me what the message was from the story. Excellent work.
