We have loved learning about volcanoes, the rock that makes them, what causes them and how devastating the results can be. We decided that it was time to create an eruption of our own!
First, we placed play dough pots in the middle of plastic plates and used the play dough from inside to create volcano like shapes around the opening.
Next, we made our very own chemical reaction. We mixed vinegar, red food colouring and bicarbonate soda together inside of the play dough pot. The three materials mixed together and created an explosion that looked just like lava coming from our volcanoes!
