Year 4 were extremely lucky this week to enjoy a visit from ‘That History Bloke’. He delivered a World War Two workshop which included the children exploring a huge array of WWII Home Front artefacts.
The children learnt about the wartime experiences of a real North-East family and worked on their history skills by working out the various jobs of the people that owned the artefacts. Evacuees, ARP wardens, and hard-working mothers were all brought to life before the highlight of the day which was sounding the air raid siren and seeking shelter under our desks!
