In Year 3A we have been busy learning about shadows. We learnt that shadows are an area of darkness where the light has been blocked, often by an opaque object because they do not let the light through. As part of our investigation, we used a light source and tried to create our own shadows by using our hands as an opaque object. We configured our hands so that they formed shadows. Children in the audience then had to guess what animal or sign we had created by viewing the shadow. We were also able to see how shadows can change and move if the opaque object also moves.
