Year 3A – Expression through dance

Recent Posts

As part of Children’s Mental Health Week, we have been doing a range of activities today to promote mental, emotional and physical health in school. This year’s mental health focus is ‘Express Yourself’. Expressing yourself is about finding ways to share feelings, thoughts, or ideas, through creativity. This could be through art, music, writing and poetry, dance and drama, photography and film, and doing activities that make you feel good.   In Year 3A we decided to use our PE dance session to create our own dances, that expressed our personalities and creativity. We choose the song ‘Happy’ by Pharrell Williams because it is an upbeat song with a steady which made us all want to move our feet. We discussed the lyrics and the meaning behind the song. The lyrics remind us to remain happy and that nothing can bring us down!
