To kick start our new topic, Plants, we began transforming our outdoor garden. We discussed what elements a plant needed in order to grow before deciding that the garden outside of our classroom was the perfect place! We split up into two teams in order to plant our cornflowers. We took each stage very carefully noting why the bucket had a hole in the bottom, why we used compost and why the plant needed to be watered after it had been planted.
We are all very excited to look after our class plants this half term and are looking for other interesting plants that we could grown in our garden. Please pass any suggestions on to team Year 3A!
