Today, we dived into an artefact box that we have been lucky enough to get our hands on from the Discovery Museum. Inside lay lots of interesting tools and pieces that would have been similar to those used thousands of years ago in the Stone Age. We took a closer look at the bone needle and animals horn, the children recognised that these tools would have been used to draw cave art. Another item we explored was the clay pot, which was very heavy, we guessed that this would have been used to eat food out of. We really enjoyed handling the artefacts and took care when doing so.
